About Michael

Michael graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1984 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS). After gaining experience in paediatrics and other specialty areas at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Michael decided to pursue training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

In 1989 he was awarded with the “Organon Award of Excellence” for excelling in specialist examinations. During Michael’s training, he was based at North Shore Hospital and worked in other hospitals around Sydney and the United Kingdom.

In recent years Michael was appointed as a Medical Advisor to Indemnity Insurers MIGA and he continues to be involved with education and the mentoring of Medical students.

Outside business hours, Michael is a keen cyclist and a devoted husband to Solveigh and father to their four children. This daily reality helps Michael stay in tune with the joys and complexities of parenthood.
